Alison Kinnaird

Alison Kinnaird has played an important role in the resurgence of the Scottish harp since the 1960s. She has an international reputation as a performer and teacher. Her books and recordings include collections of traditional tunes composed for the Scottish harp, and the first history of the harp in Scotland, “Tree of Strings”, co-written with Keith Sanger. Alison has a parallel career as an artist in glass, and in 1997 was awarded an MBE for Services to Art and Music.
