    COURSE (T31): SÉAMUS Ó FLATHARTA – Irish Harp INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED

    TUTOR: Séamus Ó Flatharta
    LEVEL: Intermediate/Advanced (see brochure p23 for explanation)
    TEACHING METHOD: E+M – Teaching will be by ear initially with written music given out during the session.

    Led by multi-instrumentalist and award-winning Irish harpist Séamus Ó Flatharta, this course will allow participants to expand their repertoire of Irish music, develop technique and explore the history of the Irish Harp.  You will become acquainted with some of Ireland’s most renowned harping figures including Turlough O’Carolan and the Connellan Brothers, acquire some common dance tunes from the West of Ireland and explore the extremely unique repertoire of sean-nós songs and airs.
