COURSE (T10): HEATHER YULE – Arranging Traditional Tunes Through Their Stories Online ELEMENTARY/INTERMEDIATE

    Sat, 12 April @ 4:30 pm - 6:00 pm BST

    £65

4 DAY COURSE: Sat / Sun / Mon / Tue 4.30pm-6.00pm ON ZOOM
    TUTOR: Heather Yule
LEVEL: Elementary/Intermediate (see brochure p23 for explanation)
TEACHING METHOD – E+M: Teaching will initially be by ear with written music given out during the session.

In this class you will learn some great tunes that have intriguing traditional stories attached to them. Often these tunes can be found with more than one version. We will look at methods to search out these variations through online and published resources, and then we can take all these elements and use them to inspire creative ideas to devise an arrangement that reflects the drama and atmosphere of the story. This will be a fun and interesting adventure accessible even to those with very little, or no, experience of arranging for the harp.
