Màiri Macleòid

Màiri Macleod’s background is from the Highlands and Islands of Scotland, where music is part of everyday culture. Living in the Isle of Lewis, she teaches clàrsach, piano, Gàidhlig singing, fiddle & theory privately. She also conducts the Carloway Gaelic Choir and is a freelance composer, arranger & adjudicator. Màiri is enthusiastic about Gàidhlig music & song and its place within the history of Scotland. She is Gaelic adviser to the Clàrsach Society & works as the Gaelic coordinator for the Scottish Bible Society.
