Anne-Marie O’Farrell

Currently Head of Harp at the Royal Northern College of Music and one of the leading harpists of her generation, Dr Anne-Marie O’Farrell from Dublin performs and teaches all over the world.  She is particularly recognised for her expansion of repertoire, and for her innovations on lever harp, as a result of which one of the world’s leading harp makers, Salvi Harps, redesigned their lever harps.  Her ground-breaking developments are documented in her substantial output of publications. She has released several solo and duo albums and has recently composed several large-scale works, commissioned and performed by leading orchestras.

She is frequently invited to be an examiner and jury member at conservatoires and international competitions.
