Albiez Trio / Adriano & Caterina Sangineto

April 1@7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

£7.00 - £14.50

The Albiez Trio

Three of Ireland’s finest traditional musicians, Laoise Kelly (harp), Tola Custy (fiddle) and Cormac Breatnach (whistles)  first got together as an ensemble at the ‘Celticimes’ Celtic music festival in Albiez du Montrond, in the French Alps, 2014. The trio have performed at the ‘Dingle Trad fest’, ‘The William Kennedy Piping festival’ in Armagh, Corsica World music festival, and have recently performed with the Irish Chamber Orchestra for the their series of 1916 concerts in the Mansion House, Limerick and Ennis. Drawing from the wealth of Irish music they also include many personal, self-penned contributions with World colourings from many regions. They’re also mighty craic!

Twin Musical Strings

In a performance full of sparkling energy, Adriano and Caterina Sangineto will focus on a fusion of timeless ancient sonorities with modern rhythms. They will contrast traditional Italian tunes with fresh and original compositions retaining a Celtic flavour. The tones of the harp combine with bowed psaltery and two voices to make an inspiring performance that will enchant, excite and touch the deepest strings of the soul.
