A Gaelic Partnership: The Clàrsach at the National Mòd
Featuring two accomplished Gaelic singers, National Mòd Gold Medallists, Wilma Kennedy and James Graham along with multi-talented harpists Màiri and Calum Macleod, this concert celebrates 120 years of unbroken links between the National Mòd and the clàrsach. Old and new songs from the bilingual foursome will chart a fascinating illustrated account of this journey from the first Mòd in 1892 through to today’s links with local and National Mòds.
A second performance will be given in Dunoon at the 2012 Royal National Mòd .
Sàr-sheinneadairean agus sàr-chluicheadairean a’ comharrachadh ceangal leantainneach eadar seann chànan is seann ionnstramaid na h-Alba.
