Get Involved

You can get involved with Edinburgh International Harp Festival in a number of ways…

Volunteer at the Festival

Every year, volunteers make a vital contribution to the success of the festival – without them, the Festival just wouldn’t happen – it’s as important as that!

Volunteers are needed to steward all areas of the Festival – from venue entrances to the Information and Registration Desk and Box Office. Stewarding at the Festival is a great way to get involved with many of the events at the Festival and is a great way to meet new people or to meet up with folk you may not have seen for awhile.

A single stewarding session is two hours and a Stewards’ rota is prepared in advance. As a small ‘thank you’ vouchers for concert or workshop tickets are made available for three stewarding sessions and issued on a pro rata basis

Volunteer Year-Round

While the big volunteer push is for the festival, the Edinburgh International Harp Festival wouldn’t be able to run without the dedicated work of the Festival Team – most of whom are still volunteers as in the early days!

At the moment we are looking for individuals with strong IT, fundraising or marketing skills.

If you are interested in getting involved please contact Mary Scott at co-ordinator@harpfestival.co.uk

Take to the Stage – Lunchtime Open Platform

The Lunchtime Open Platform is an integral part of the festival, specifically encouraging new musicals talents to take to the stage.

Held everyday between 12pm – 2pm in the Festival Café, the Lunchtime Open Platform offers a supportive live setting and performance slots are flexible. A sign-up sheet and schedule is displayed on the way into the café, so why not have a think about this and consider how you might get involved.
