Formed in 2008, Glčusta, have excited audiences with their clever balance of traditional folk, jazz, contemporary, classical and Gaelic music. Through Gaelic song and lyrical playing Mŕiri conveys nuances of Scottish beauty which Ross complements with rousing tones and chords which whet the appetite for their funky grooves!

The winning entry in the Clarsach Society’s 2009 Young Composer’s Competition will be announced, performed and the prize presented as part of this concert.

The Clarsach Society thanks Pilgrim Harps and Starfish Designs for their generous donation of the prize money.

The Family Ceilidh is a fun event for everyone! Don’t worry if you don’t know the steps – dances will be expertly called and will include those taught at Mairi Campbell’s Sunday workshop. Enjoy a great evening of ceilidh dancing, fun and friendship.
