EMILY HOILE
A Geordie by birth, Emily Hoile’s repertoire, ranging from traditional to contemporary folk and including her own compositions, has delighted audiences each side of the border. She played at the first ever Folk Prom in London, performed with Sting in Gateshead and was the youngest finalist in 2008 Radio 2 Young Folk Awards, where “she demonstrated absolute mastery of her instrument”.
